 +==== Running Daily Closeout Report ====
 +
 +At the end of every day, run the Daily Closeout Report. To run the report all orders must be paid for and updated to "Closed" and all drivers must be checked out.
 +
 +Running the Closeout finalizes all orders and captures all the credit cards. It also updates the Sales Summary 2025 (Accountant). Rerun the Closeout report if someone has entered the data incorrectly.
 +
 +Enter the Cash Bank Deposit and the Ending Cash Drawer/Till/Bank.
 +
 +First count out the cash drawer. Many stores keep the cash drawer at $300.00. Count the coins including any rolled coins. Add the amount of paper currency. Some stores have a safe or other place with cash in the store that is not considered part of the cash drawer. Count all cash in the building as the Ending Cash Drawer no matter where the cash is located.  Often there will not be enough money to get the drawer back to the starting amount because of driver gas and tips that are paid out in cash. Enter the amount that is in the drawer as the Ending Cash Drawer.
 +
 +If the Ending Cash Drawer is less that the Beginning Drawer there is no Deposit. The Beginning Cash Drawer is {{ pos:closeout1.png?200}} the amount that was entered yesterday at close. It is in the Closeout window on the bottom far right.
 +
 +After you bring the Drawer to the desired level/amount any cash remaining is your Cash Bank Deposit. If there is not enough cash to meet your desired drawer level, there is no deposit.
 +
 +Go to Start> Reports> Daily Closeout.
 +
 +You enter 2 numbers, the Cash Bank Deposit amount and Ending Cash Drawer balance into POS.

 +BEFORE: \\ {{pos:closeout2.png}}

 +EXAMPLES: \\ {{pos:closeout3.png}}{{pos:closeout4.png}}{{pos:closeout5.png}}{{pos:closeout6.png}}
 +
 +In cases where there is not enough to bring the Cash Drawer to the store’s level. Enter the amount that you did leave in the Cash Drawer. And the deposit is $0.00.
 +
 +If the Beginning Cash Drawer is $300 and at the end of the night the drawer is $328.22 in total cash, you may not want to make a $28.22 Cash Bank Deposit. Increase the Ending Cash Drawer to $328.22. The Over/Short will be correct.
 +
 +When there is not have enough cash to reach the Beginning Cash Drawer amount merely enter the amount of cash that is in the drawer at closing.
 +
 +Whatever amount entered for the Ending Cash Drawer will be included in the over/short calculation. Some guys increase the amount of the Cash Drawer once per week and each day it shrinks smaller and smaller until refilled.
 +
 +To refill the drawer; money from the bank is added to the Cash Drawer. Do a (705) Cash Refill / Income payout for whatever amount is added to the drawer. Go to Start> Spend/Receive> Expenses/Income. Refills should be in round numbers like $100.00, $150.00 or $1500.00. This is not a taxable event. It is not income nor an expense. It is merely an increase in the Cash Drawer. Cash is expensed only when it is paid out to a vendor or team member. Getting money from the bank to put it into the Cash Drawer is not an expense. It can be any amount. Refill $1000.00 once per week or $50.00 every day. \\ {{pos:closeout6b.png}}
 +
 +It is very important to enter any tips that were added to pick-up orders before clicking "Perform daily closeout and print report!"
 +
 +If the cash tips left at the counter are deposited and later given to the team members on their paychecks, enter a Counter Cash Tips paid-in for the amount of those tips.
 +
 +Then simply click “Perform daily closeout and print report!” \\  {{pos:closeout7.png}}
 +
 +To track things that may have influenced the sales volume. Enter weather info and any significant changes. Check the appropriate weather conditions for each day part and enter the high temperature for the day. Also note any important changes like management changes, internet outages, etc. \\ {{pos:closeout8.png}}
 +
 +A copy of the report prints in the store, and a copy is emailed to the owner. This also puts the data into the Sales Summary 2025 (Accountant).
 +
 +===Re-run Closeout===
 +
 +To re-run a report, even one that was just run, click on Re-run a previous day. Select the date to re-run, enter the Cash Deposit and the Ending Cash Drawer. \\ {{pos:closeout9.png}}
 +
 +Then click Re-run the closeout report. Re-running the report will update the Sales Summary Report (Accountant) in the Report Wizard.
