If using Windows 11 and using a Bio-Key SideSwipe or SideTouch reader on a notebook computer, you will need to install drivers for those readers, Sidetouch Sideswipe. After you save the appropriate folder to your computer go to the Windows Device Manager. Click on the device in Biometric Devices and right click on the device and select Update driver. Then navigate My Computer to the appropriate folder you just downloaded for the device.

Users can click on the desktop icon to open another instance of Chrome rather than clicking the icon on the taskbar to view the instance that is already open. Do not open a second instance of Chrome. Having more than one open will cause errors. This is how the taskbar icon looks when there is only one instance of Chrome open.

Clicking once on the link will show how many instances are open. Note that when you hover over the icon in the task bar there is a vertical bar on the right in the icon to indicate there are more than one instance open. There should only be one.

Orders that are entered from 12:00 AM EDT until 3:00 AM EST when created will appear to be scheduled orders after a time when the store is closed. The scheduled times are false. Although the order appears to be scheduled for a time after the store is closed it is a valid ASAP order. It should be prepared and presented as soon as possible. There are 2 clues that will prove the scheduled times are false.

We use ethernet cable connected laser printers for Driver tickets and reports. We use Star Micronics printers for Kitchen tickets and Credit Card receipts. The print jobs are created on the server and then sent by PrintNode to the store's Print Computer. When purchasing a new printer, the PrintNode printer ID must be stored in the server database for that printer.
The receipt printers are set to a static IP address on the local area network with the default gateway IP address that the router establishes for that store. If the router is ever changed the printers must be manually set to a new static IP address with the new local area network default gateway IP address established by the new router.
