That connection adds it to the telephone network. Old phones had wires connecting them together. MrJims.Pizza phones are merely connected to the internet. This means that no matter where it is in the world, once it is connected to the internet it works just as it did. If you move Line 1 phone within the building, or take it home or on a trip, it does not change how it works.
